On the eve of his wedding to Elaina Tenderthorn, Argrace Thinblade is given an ancient book by his grandfather--The Book of the Sword--which chronicles the search for the lost sword of King Fairgrace Thinblade centuries before: a Sword of such power that it could vanquish the evil that holds a kingdom in bondage, and puts the wielder on the throne.
